Alan Seymour Posted 18 January , 2003 Share Posted 18 January , 2003 Rob, The book gives you a short history of the war as far as the staff of the London County Coucil were concerned, and covers 212 pages. The record of war service carries the names of staff and their service details from all departments of the L.C.C., this section covers 203 pages. The staff are listed in alphabetical order but by departments only, there's no combined name index. If your Grandfather worked for the L.C.C. his name should be included amoungst the department he worked for. This book published in 1922, was presented to each member of staff who served in the Great War, or to the next-of-kin of those who died on service. Rob HAmilton Posted 19 January , 2003 Share Posted 19 January , 2003 Alan Thanks for your reply. I thought as much but wasn't sure. I think it's unlikely that my grandfather worked for the LCC so he won't be featured. Regards Rob
