beaverpass Posted 15 November , 2007 Share Posted 15 November , 2007 Whilst thumbing through the book "First Canadian Contingent of the B.E.F." which lists the names of those thousands of Canadians who sailed in 1914, I have discovered a rank abbreviation that I cannot decipher. One of the eleven men listed under the Canadian Ordnance Corps has the rank Sb. - Cndr. Can anyone enlighten me regarding the rank 'Sb.-Cndr.'\ Cheers, Ken

beaverpass Posted 23 November , 2007 Author Share Posted 23 November , 2007 Many thanks for those replies. That one really had me stumped, it being the only one of that rank in the entire 1st Contingent. Cheers, ken
