comments in the action taken section

Hi all

I'm having some difficulty working out the meaning of some of the comments in the action taken section. I've got Transfered Labour corps 30/6/1917 its the rest that has me a bit stumped

any help greatly appriciated

It's the Clasp (Bar for medal ribbon when worn on the medal) and Roses (for the medal ribbon alone) that denote that he was in range of enemy mobile artillery before 22-11-1914.
