London Gazette Help needed!

I wonder if anyone else has experienced the problems I have had trying to track the careers of officers? I have been trying to follow these chaps:

a Captain Frederick James Chadwick 104th Wellesley Rifles KIA Shaiba 13:4:15 and his brother Richard M Chadwick 2nd Lt RGA 11th Siege battery KIA 13:5:15

plus Major Victor Charles Methuen Reeves 1/1st Dorset Yeomanry KIA Agagir 26 :2 :16

Does the LG have all its records on line? Or am I missing something in my searches? Major Reeves I can track to 1909 when he was gazetted a Lt but after that nothing! How could he make it to major and nothing be recorded in the LG?

Help!

The January 1916 Monthly Army List indicates that V C M Reeves was appointed as an Acting Major in the Dorset Yeomanry on 1 July 1915. Dick Flory

Dick many, many thanks that completes the hunt! Now all I need to do is find out why a lady called Barbara Josephina Helen McCall had an elaborate monument erected to his memory in our church! ( and her maiden name was Lycester so no obvious link there!!) This is how research becomes addictive!
