Remembered Today:

British Brodie Helmet liner

A friend of mine is trying to find out about a private manufactured devise for the Brodie Helmet sold by Lincoln & Bennett of St.James?

Apparently it was in the form of a hat like liner which fitted into the helmet in a similar manner to the fibre liner of American WW2 helmets, but this one was made from compressed felt, we think.

From fragments of the advert, whcih he has not passed on to me, the liner could be worn seperatly like a flat Bowler hat. It was of course for officers only. Any Pal seen one, got one, or knows anything about it? I said the Forum would not let me down.
