Can anyone advise me of where I can find values for cap badges?

I have a collection of Royal Engineers cap badges and shoulder titles that I have decided to sell to fund other collecting projects but I have no idea of current values for some of the rarer (Volunteers, Militia etc.) items.

I am not advertising them here, but I wonder if a Forum member might point me in the right direction.

a new site with a collectors only 'For Sale' section.

You will probably find some old friends there. And many new ones also!

Many will have knowledge of current 'going rates'.

Otherwise there is always good old Ebay. Just, please do'nt put ....'100% Genuine' next to it ,as this is an

much over-used expression of the re-strike merchants.

It might be worth browsing a few of the dealers lists for prices, alternatively look back through the old Bosley's auction prices realised website. The former is the best guide though, auctions can be a bit iffy as buyers will pay inflated prices if it's something they're desperate for, plus these things ofter come in grouped lots.

I would have a look at what say Peter Taylor and Lew Shotton are asking for similar items,it will give you a good idea of the retail prices
