Ivor Lee Posted 22 October , 2007 Share Posted 22 October , 2007 An area that I would like to study further is the Black Sea Army deployed once the war had eneded. Are there any recommendations for further reading/ sources of information. Many thanks Ivor

Ivor Lee Posted 1 November , 2007 Author Share Posted 1 November , 2007 Chris Many thanks for the offer. I do not want to impose too much upon you so if you find the book has references to Labour units please let me have its details and I will try and borrow a copy through inter-library loan. MaureenE Posted 19 August , 2019 Share Posted 19 August , 2019 An Official History was written titled The Occupation of Constantinople 1918–1923 by Brigadier-General J. E. Edmonds. Originally written in 1944, it was not finally published until 2010 by Imperial War Museum/Naval&Military Press. https://www.naval-military-press.com/product/occupation-of-constantinople/ Cheers Maureen
UKAIF Posted 1 December , 2019 Share Posted 1 December , 2019 Have just found this item while doing some work on 5427 Pte James B.Paterson, 1/Seaforths attached or later transferred to 12/A&S Highlanders. His rail warrant/from Edinburgh Waverley to Constantinople is marked "Army of Black Sea" but his unit(s) are not listed above. Looks as though reference to the Official History is needed.....
