Charles Fair Posted 19 October , 2007 Share Posted 19 October , 2007 The Folkestone Triennial, a major international sculpture exhibition, is launching next spring. One of the proposed exhibits seeks love letters either written from Folkestone, or else to Folkestone in either world war. As the letters will be spoken/read a transcript will be sufficient. The artist will be working closely with the Folkestone History Centre to complete the project. The attached press release gives more information about the artist and the nature of the proposed installation. More info will follow in due course. [The Triennial web site is being built now, (www.folkestonetriennial.org.uk) and the History Centre don't have one yet.] However, if anyone does have material that they would be willing to contribute, please could you send it to: Kim Dhillon Assistant Curator Folkestone Triennial 65 - 69 Tontine Street Folkestone, Kent, CT20 1JR Kim Dhillon Her email is: kim [at] folkestonetriennial [dot] org [dot] uk I will be contributing a couple of letters written by members of my family whilst they were passing through Folkestone during WW1.
