per ardua per mare per terram Posted 15 October , 2007 Share Posted 15 October , 2007 A gunner in the Navy was a warrant officer and so he would be on the officer's medal roll (ADM 171/91 on microfilm in alphabetical order) and listed in the Navy List. He was promoted ranks so should be found using the online service registers.
