Myself and others are dealing with a query at the moment on another site regarding a 2645/265879 David Richardson of 6th RWF. We are trying to trace his death. His brother James fought with him at Galipoli and survived to a good age. He always implied that his brother was wounded, and then died 6 months later. No mention on CWGC, we suspect that the story may have got distorted with time.

We have identified that David was listed as seriously ill(Dysentry) in Sept 1915, from info provided by another GWF member. However, the MIC shows he received a new number in 1917, so he was still alive then, and was also an SWB recipient.

I would be very grateful if any Pal who has access to SWB list's could do a look up for his details. it may show us how his military service concluded.

Thanks

JMN
