rhimsl Posted 12 October , 2007 Share Posted 12 October , 2007 Looking for help determining the movements of the 21st CEF during the battle of Flers-Courcelette on Sept. 15, 1916. I know the 21st was positioned in front of Courcelette and took the "Sugar Factory" and then advanced on to the town but does anyone have any more specifics? Also wondering if anyone knows if most of their casualties were due friendly fire of the creeping barrage they followed or from the counter attacks they faced once in Courcelette - or if that can be determined at all? Thanks in advance for the help. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!!! Cheers, Robert
