horatio2 Posted 10 October , 2007 Share Posted 10 October , 2007 Ernest Williams was kidnapped by rebels in Ireland and murdered. He was serving with 8th Royal Marines Battalion. His body was repatriated and "upwards of 1,500 people" were present at his funeral in Gosport. Despite his place of burial being so well known, his was one of many that missed commemoration. Thanks to John Morcombe (yet again). RIP
