Pte1605 Posted 9 October , 2007 Share Posted 9 October , 2007 Hello everyone, I'm building an illustrated talk, in the form of a digital audio-visual presentation, based on material that I have inherited about my grandfather, Bandsman Fred Appleton (200207 Lance Corporal in 4th Yorkshires). I am looking for some suitable images (one or two perhaps) to illustrate the following piece of voice-over: "In 1918, after taking a hammering during the German spring and summer offensives, the 4th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment was reduced to cadre on July 16th and assigned to Lines of Communication. At this point Fred seems to have become detached from the battalion and assigned to the Band at an Officers Training Camp. " When the sequence is complete I will be offering to show it to the local branch of the Western Front Association and to the Friends of the Green Howards. Some artistic licence may be necessary. Images which fit the spirit of the words rather than the literal letter of the words will be entirely acceptable. Can anyone please give me any pointers?
