chrislock Posted 11 January , 2004 Share Posted 11 January , 2004 My Grandfather died in his ealy 50,s before I was born. I have since been made aware that he was a WW1 vet. His name was Alec Harold Holder and was trained at Aldershot and served with possibly the artillery. He received shrapnel wounds to the neck, no other info avaliable. Best advice I can offer is this: click on the link (top left of this page) to the Long, Long Trail and read the Grandad's War section.
