This is a real long shot, but trying to locate a Sidney Clark that was stationed at Budworth hall in Ongar, Essex late 1917- early 1918, as a first stab I was wondering if anyone would know what regiment might have been there in that timeframe.

Just to refine the question - the naughty lad impregnated a local girl in Jan 1918

Cant help with your question I'm afraid but Budworth Hall still exists in the High Street Ongar. I believe it is now a Community or Information Centre

Budworth Hall c1906. The Hall was used as an Auxiliary War Hospital.

So one should assume he would have been a patient, rather than there training. He was supposedly born in 1898 so would have been conscripted in 1916? That makes more sense.

Am I correct in assuming there is no organized archive of patients going through an Auxiliary War Hospital?
