Does anyone know if SWBs are always numbered to the recipent or can some be Depot impressed??

I was once told by a dealer that somtimes a batch of badges were issued to a group of soldiers from the same regiment with the same badge number (Depot impressed ?) but i never found any proof of this. I, like you, belive individual badge numbers were given to each soldier. Thanks Blue

What was he trying to sell you :lol:

Thats a load of old pony I'm afraid - a batch of badges with sequential numbers being allocated is true, but not badges with the same number.

If you look at the SWB rolls at the NA you will clearly see everyone is individually numbered.
