Neil Mackenzie Posted 18 August , 2007 Share Posted 18 August , 2007 In an earlier thread I was asking about a Croydon man (EG Vining) who died at Glasgow Red Cross Hospital (Springburn). Does anyone know if this hospital specialised in dealing with certain types of wounds or was it a general hospital? Otherwise it seems a long way to take someone who was not local to the area and who was obviously seriously wounded. Many thanks. Neil

It seems to have been an emergency hospital designed to take less serious cases who were able to travel north. Marina
