Remembered Today:

Difficult badge ?

I have thought about posting this or not as I was starting to think it may be too difficult, however, given the superb help I have had on a number of other topics recently it would seem churlish not to give you lot a chance to impress me again.

This is my Uncle Luther Paxton - he is from Richmond North Yorkshire. His brother Tom served in the Green Howards for sure, but this badge does not look like any Green Howards badge I have so far seen.

Any other info on the uniform appreciated as I am tring to date the picture also.

I have been through most pictures of badges at the following site (which has over 1000 !!)

Pete.

It's the shoulder title for the 4th Bn (either 1/4, 2/4 or 3/4) of the Yorkshire Regiment (Alexandra, Princess of Wales' Own) - the Green Howards. (Territorial Force)

It consists of a letter "T" over a number "4" over the "Yorks" title.

Dave.
