In "We Dive At Dawn " It has the S/M B3 missed by a torpedo at 12.35 p.m. October 2, 1914 at one of the patrol buoys off the south end of the Goodwin Sands. Does anyone know what u-boat fired at her? Thanks in advance.

The book "We Dive at Dawn" by Kenneth Edwards is a history of RN S/M's mostly during WW I. Print dates 1938 and 1941 good reading but, somewhat dated. The 1943 movie of the same title deals with WW II and is considered to be one of the best submarine movies of all time.
