Does anyone know of memorilas in the West Ham area of London which my remember Norman Douglas Montague Gale

Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead

Grave/Memorial Reference: Pier and Face 9 D 9 C 13 C and 12 C.

Memorial: THIEPVAL MEMORIAL

Any help re memorials or info on local newspaper info to aid research very much appreciated

Nothing specific, Wulsten, just a few pointers:

West Ham War Memorial was unveiled in 1924

East Ham Memorial Hospital opened in 1929

Tate and Lyle was a big employer

West Ham Tramways Memorial-Plaistow
