Bob Coulson Posted 26 October , 2002 Share Posted 26 October , 2002 Would anyone have any information concerning local operations around St Julien in August 1917. I am particularly interested in anything concerning the 7th Battalion KRRC, currently researching a three times MM winner with this battalion. Any help would be gratefully recieved. laughton Posted 29 October , 2002 Share Posted 29 October , 2002 Bob: I checked what reference material I have and the only mention of St.Julien was in 1915 for the Battle of Ypres. I guess we will have to leave this one to the real experts, sorry. Richard of Canada
Aurel Sercu Posted 30 October , 2002 Share Posted 30 October , 2002 Hi Bob, I have just checked - S. Hare, The Annals of the King's Royal Rifle Corps, Vol. 5 - R. Byron, The King's Royal Rifle Corps Chronicle for 1917 in the Ypres Documentation Centre. But I suppose you have already checked these yourself too ? If not : I'm afraid nothing special. The former : just a few lines (p. 234) about last week of August 1917 The latter : For the whole month of August 1 or 2 pages (93-94). I have photocopied them. Should you want a scan, contact me off Forum. Aurel Sercu Ypres aurel.sercu@pandora.be My Webpage The Diggers
