Terry Denham Posted 3 July , 2007 Share Posted 3 July , 2007 Chris She is not a Commonwealth War Grave and hence she will not appear on the CWGC list. She is actually classified as a Non-World War Grave in CWGC Care and is recorded as such in their database. VAD members only qualify for war grave status if they died on duty and of a war cause as with other members of the Recognised Civilian Organisations (eg Mercantile Marine, Red Cross etc). Many of the original registers did not make this distinction clear and a few such names were erroneously included.
