Public Record Office (Kew) has a file (WO/161 from memory) that contains 000's of names of POW's who were interviewed on their return (not all were). Pot luck as to whether your man is in there but if he is you should be able to get a transcript or similar of his interview which might shed light on where he was captured, treatment etc. An earlier post on the forum was from from a member who had the POW list index so look back on the Forum posts and see if you can spot him first - he may do a look up and save you a trip!
