Every issue nearly has pictures of the soldiers who were killed, and also has Casualty Lists, and Military Honours Lists. If anyone would like me to have a look for any Officer’s or Soldier’s details then just post the details preferably with rough dates, as my lunch break is not all that long. He was a keen sportsman at school, being captain of the football and cricket teams and winner of several events at sports day. He came from a large family, but none of them can be traced, so there is a complete gap between his leaving school and his death. He has no known grave. Dave, 6566 Private S Goates is listed as Wounded and Missing 1st July in the August 1916 edition. 6566 Private S Goates is listed as Pressumed Dead 1st July 1916 in the May 1917 edition.
