Tom died in Eastbourne Central Military Hospital from pneumonia & hemiplegia. He was probably a member of a New Army Remount Unit. He had served in France arriving there 03/04/1915. A builder & carter by trade he was married to Ann & was resident at 8 Boedead Place Oldham

May He Rest In Peace

Tom Lockwood's grave in Chadderton Cemetery is just to the left as the flat grave marker - phots are courtesy & copyright of John Hartley who I thank publicly for taking the time & effort to take these photos for me - John also passed on the good news that the cemetery authorities have been informed that the CWGC will be installing a headstone for Tom - good news indeed

What a great effort and good news that a headstone will be errected after all this time. Lets hope a forum member will be there when this is done. to record it for us all. :)
