Terry Denham Posted 27 April , 2007 Share Posted 27 April , 2007 CWGC added the following 'new' WW1 casualty to their Debt of Honour database today - Friday 27th April. Pte Arthur William WELLS 25970 4th Bn, Grenadier Guards Died 23.07.17 Buried: Bleuet Farm Cemetery, Belgium NOT FORGOTTEN This is a result of a mix-up finally being sorted. Those responsible are unknown to me. This casualty has always been buried at Bleuet Farm but was thought to be another man, Pte Walter Frederick Wells, also of the Grenadier Guards. Arthur Wells was not commemorated anywhere and was buried under a headstone named to Walter. This error has now been rectified with Arthur being added to Bleuet Farm and Walter Wells being now commemorated on the Cambrai Memorial. The stonework at both locations will be amended in due course.
