I presume CSM is Company Serjeant Major, but I don't know Armn., R.Q.M.S., Tr. and A.B.

Thanks in advance,

Marc

Hello Marc,

The second set of names looks like a list of those who both survived and died. I'm sure you're probably already aware, but please don't make the mistake I once made in trying to research all that I found. Some were also a group from WWII. I'd been at it days before I realised.

Cheers,

Dave

Hi dave - yes, it's a memorial to those that served as well as the fallen. There was a separate panel for WWII so I'm hoping there'll be no mix-up. Can't quite tie up all of the names with MICs etc., but I'm getting there.

Cheers,

Marc

There was a memorial in a town from where my family came from in west wales with a section for KIA (only 2 or 2) and about 20 wounded soliders. The memorial was in welsh (mine is not that good so I tried finding them to no luck a few days later i had a translation of the welsh thanks Clive,) and it was split and i was tring to find soldiers who didnt die

Marc,

Remember that not all of the men would have had MIC's.

Only the ones that served abroad generally do.

Just something to bear in mind

Cheers

Good point - I hadn't thought of that, thanks. I think I've found about half of them (of 64). Might be on a hiding to nothing looking for Pte. T Hall though!

Watch out for incorrect Name Spellings and incorrect Ranks.
