We haven't been able to get this man's Service File as it is at conservation. However I've located him as being on board TS Willochra on 13 November 1915 with the 8th Reinforcements.

Can anyone tell me when they reached Suez please? I presume it is Suez as CWGC says he served in Egypt. He died 29/9/1916 and is buried at A.I.F. Burial Grounds, Flers

The 8th reinforcements reached Suez on the 18th of December 1915.

As this man was in the 2nd Wellington Battalion and died on the 29th September 1916, he woul dhave died while fighting at the Somme.
