Fred W Posted 13 April , 2007 Posted 13 April , 2007 Remembering this day, my uncle,24996 Private Frederick James Davies, 8th Bn King's Own(Royal Lancaster)Regiment, who died of wounds at the 8th Casualty Clearing Station.He received a gun shot wound to his right side on 9 April 1917, was admitted to the 8th Casualty Clearing Station on 12 April and died on the 13 April. He is buried at Duisans British Cemetery, Etrun, France. He enlisted on the 25 April 1916 in the 10th Bn East Lancs was transferred to the King's Own on 26 August 1916, arrived in France on 28 Dec 1916 and was posted to the 8th Bn 0n 30 Dec 1916. Fred
