KONDOA Posted 12 April , 2007 Share Posted 12 April , 2007 Chums, SDGW gives my man a grave, CWGC does not. I cannot verify if Alfred actually died but obviously some think he did. Would appreciate help finding his grave if it exists. Roop NB : I note that Gunner Turner was killed that same day and is listed as buried at Bully Grenay, perhaps SDGW have confused the two. ____________________ Traynor Alfred Gunner 166 290158 Born Hull. Terry Denham Posted 12 April , 2007 Share Posted 12 April , 2007 I don't understand the question. SDGW does not give burial locations nor does it list an Alfred Traynor.
KONDOA Posted 12 April , 2007 Author Share Posted 12 April , 2007 Ok Terry, From somewhere I have SDGW information that is obviously incorrect or fictitious. Thanks Roop
Terry Denham Posted 12 April , 2007 Share Posted 12 April , 2007 Roop There is no Alfred Traynor listed in the GRO Army Overseas Death Index.
KONDOA Posted 12 April , 2007 Author Share Posted 12 April , 2007 Thanks again Terry, I can cross that one off as dodgy then. I am nipping over to France next month so was compiling a "Cooks Tour " of my casualties, that particular one seemed odd. Roop
