Chums,

SDGW gives my man a grave, CWGC does not. I cannot verify if Alfred actually died but obviously some think he did. Would appreciate help finding his grave if it exists.

NB : I note that Gunner Turner was killed that same day and is listed as buried at Bully Grenay, perhaps SDGW have confused the two.

I don't understand the question.

SDGW does not give burial locations nor does it list an Alfred Traynor.

There is no Alfred Traynor listed in the GRO Army Overseas Death Index.

Thanks again Terry, I can cross that one off as dodgy then. I am nipping over to France next month so was compiling a "Cooks Tour " of my casualties, that particular one seemed odd.
