artyali Posted 11 April , 2007 Posted 11 April , 2007 My Great Uncle 3628 Pve John Cyril Caley served with the 2nd London Regiment, Royal Fusiliers....buried at GOMMECOURT BRITISH CEMETERY NO2.....any information that i may not already have about him or his corps greatfully received! Ive read about the battle in which he was killed on 1/7/1916, have copy of his medal card, am going to visit the national archive to find service history. Have also inherited a set of letters from his short time in France.
