CWGC added the following 'new' WW1 casualty to its Debt of Honour database today – Tuesday 10th April.

Pte Albert Densham ANDREWS

PLY/14925 Royal Marine Light Infantry, HMS Valiant

Died 28.04.21 Age 28

Buried: Exeter (Exwick) Cemetery, Devon, UK

NOT FORGOTTEN

28/04/1921 Died in Liverpool from "Misadventure" (whilst in regular RMLI service).

Served HMS "Valiant" 15/1/20-28/4/21.

Buried in Exwich Rd. Cem., Exeter, Section V, Grave 42.

14-15 Trio issued to mother IC/248/1921.

I'm afraid not. I did not have to get the death certificate, as he died in service & so automatically qualified for commemoration. The "misadventure" bit came from his ADM/159. It may have been from any accidental cause, RTA, a fall etc.

Ah well it doesn't really matter. The important thing is that he's properly remembered.
