1/5th West Ridings Reorbat.

Hi

Can someone help me out with the Reorbat of the 1/5th Duke of Wellingtons (West Ridings TF ) from Huddersfield when they went from 8 companies to 4 and the locations of them before and after.

I don’t have a date for the change, but the Holmfirth Company were still calling themselves F Company in letters home around Christmas 1914; they were B Company by the time they sailed for France in late April 1915.

I know there were drill halls at Huddersfield - Milnsbridge - Holmfirth - and maybe one at Kirkburton? But I have never seen any list saying which companies belonged where. Maybe they will have one at Halifax?

Ive got the 1st 4th and 1st 6th Company locations prior to Deployment in 1915 im sure ill get the 1st 5th and 1st 7th from a local source.

They changed around Jan 1915.
