Greetings to all,

I have copies of:

Terriers in the Trenches, The Post Office Rifles at War 1914-18, 8th (City of London) Battalion. By Charles Messenger. Gives the history of this unit, many photos and appendix of all Officers and Men killed by number, rank, place of birth, place of enlistment, date and how died. Also includes list of decorations awarded by decoration, number rank and name from VC down.

The Fifth Army by General Sir Hubert Gough GCMG, KCB, KCVO, etc. Published in 1931. Starts with mobilisation of 3rd Cavalry Bde on 4 August 1914 right through to March 1918 when Gough was sent home of half pay.

Includes many maps and Order of Battle of 5th Army as at 21st March 1918. Each page has dates in the margin so that following almost a day by day account of Goughs time from August 1914 from commanding 3rd Cavalry Bde to commanding 5th Army.

Willing to do look ups and scans in jpg format either by snail mail or e mail.

Regards

Peter.
