smilingsixth Posted 11 December , 2003 Posted 11 December , 2003 I am trying to locate the grave of Pte, 266069 William keynon McLachlan, 1/6th Welsh who died on Sunday 19 Aug 1917, ages 19. Does anybody live near Southport (St Cuthberts) Churchyard, Lancashire - as would very much like to know if there is an extra inscription on the headstone and if possible a photo of the grave. More than happy to pay all film and postage cost. Many thanks - Simon
PaulC78 Posted 12 September , 2021 Posted 12 September , 2021 I know this topic is positively ancient, but it came up in a search and as it happens I do have a photo of the McLachlan grave at St Cuthbert's Churchyard. It's a CWGC special memorial though, so no additional inscription. This photo was taken last September.
