Remembered Today:

New recognition

Last year I petitioned the Office of Australian War Graves for recognition of Sister Nellie Saw who died of TB. I am pleased to advise that I received a letter from them confirming that recognition and Nellie Saw is now listed on the CWGC database. Nellie is buried in the Memorial Park Cemetery Albany W. Aust.

I have a couple of other applications pending for the same cemetery along with a few others in Fremantle Cemetery.

Sandra - Congrats again (2nd time today)

I wondered whether you were behind this when Nellie Saw's recognition was brought to my attention recently.

One small concern - what is her actual day of death? Memorial says 31st - CWGC say 17th.

Cheers, Frev

PS email on it's way.

Hello Frev ... thank you ...

Yes .. that is the right DOD ... not sure about the entry on where the 19th came from. I guess I need to contact them for a correction. I already have two corrections to CWGC sitting from January that have not been replied too so not sure how this one will go.

I sent the pics to the person you passed my contact details on to ... thanks :)

He queried the date as well so I sent him the transcripts from the newspaper but as yet haven't gone to the BMD's to see if it has been indexed yet.

Sandra

PS: Terry ... I haven't contacted them and no no more than this.
