Sir Cliff Posted 9 May , 2007 Share Posted 9 May , 2007 I was present on the tour with Fred van Woerkom to the Somme battlefields. We are a small group of 4 who visit the Western Front twice a year. We call ourselves 'de kleine club' or in English 'the small club'. In France we use the name 'Les gens heureux de Pays Bas. Further to the topic of Fred I post a collection of photographs I made during this tour. This photo is the mini Arc de Triomph in Proyart

Fred van Woerkom Posted 10 May , 2007 Author Share Posted 10 May , 2007 Thank you, sir Cliff ! In the Bois de Wallieux there are some stubs of trees made of steel, symbolic of the destruction and at the same time a lasting concrete reminder.
