outofbattery Posted 17 March , 2007 Share Posted 17 March , 2007 Hello everyone,I'm hoping someone might be able to tell me a little more about these photos if at all possible even if there doesn't seem much at all to go on.I've asked on Tanknet and was told that he was a Vizefeldwebel in a Mecklenburg infantry regiment which is 200% more than previously known- lore was that he was a postman and not in the German army in WWI,which is to be expected from his son as an immigrant to the US in the 20's! Thanks much.
ian turner Posted 17 March , 2007 Share Posted 17 March , 2007 Hello and welcome to the forum! May I suggest you repost this on the 'soldiers' thread, and retitle something like 'help identifying German soldier' - it might attract our German pals and experts who might otherwise miss this topic. Good luck Ian

Andrew Hesketh Posted 23 March , 2007 Share Posted 23 March , 2007 Outofbattery - I've taken the liberty of moving your thread to 'Soldiers' and amending your title question (as Ian sensibly suggested). I hope you get some good replies.
