Hello Tafski,

I've been sitting on this for a while and can't remember if I've posted it or not. Please find the citation for your Gt. Uncle's DCM.

15/790 CSM F. SCHOLES: For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. He rendered most valuable assistance in reorganising the battalion after the attack. He has performed consistent good work throughout. [13-2-1917]

many thanks dave very much appreciate and yep good old fred never lived to receive his DCM but will remind him on our forth comming trip
