campaign Posted 12 March , 2007 Share Posted 12 March , 2007 Hi - I have a copy of the KRRC SDGW Volume 57 in front of me, and wonder how accurate these may or may not be. They are apparently taken from Officers in Charge records and first published in 1921. There is only one candidate for my research born in the correct place, and I wonder whether the details for place of birth are most likely to be correct, and possibly place or residence when enlisted, more than first names?? Anyone familiar with these please??
Coldstreamer Posted 13 March , 2007 Share Posted 13 March , 2007 Ive always found it pretty accurate with the odd mistake, usually just typos though Dont forget that not all information provided by soldiers was correct - could be an alias. Thanks - I suspect an alias has been used for my guy but will dig deeper on the strength of where born etc., Lyn
