daggers Posted 12 March , 2007 Share Posted 12 March , 2007 I've been getting help from Forum members with Lt-Cmdr PH White RN who appears on a London church memorial but not on CWGC. I've now got his death certificate showing he died on 3 December 1916 at the RN Hospital, Haslar, Southsea. Next: where was he buried? If his death and funeral details were announced in the Times, it is likely to have been in the few days following, although the date of registration of death (12th December) may mean that there was some delay. If anyone has access to The Times online could they please have a look in the 'deaths' column to see what detail there is? Also, is there anyone who knows their way around newspaper archives in the Pompey/Southsea area who could look there for the same info?
