I've just been flicking through the Christmas 2003 edition of 'Your Family Tree' magazine, which my Nan thought I'd like (I've got a lovely Nan :).

I noticed, in the 'Q&A' section, a question from a David Christie who is trying to trace his father's service records or even his number (he'd served in the Seaforth Highlanders and was badly wounded in Nov 1918). Unfortunatly David can't find his father on the Medal Roll, so he is a little stumped.

Anyway, the answer given by the magazine staff includes re-checking the MR's, contacting Regimental Museum etc, and....(I quote) 'A good online source for further information on the regiment is Chris Baker's A Long, Long Trail, which can be found at www.1914-1918.net'

Today the pages of 'Your Family Tree' magazine, tomorrow the World!

Look closer and you will see, Lee mate, that said answer is given by myself. I am writing regular articles for this magazine now, so expect to see the forum flagged up more often! :D
