Mk IV Markings

I recently acquired a model Mk IV tadpole tank and am wondering what markings would be appropriate. Would appreciate whatever assistance the group can provide.

Thanks . . .

Although a large number of tadpole tail extensions were manufactured at Fosters, and shipped to France, the assembly was excessively flexible. According to David Fletcher, they were only fitted to a small number of experimental tanks and there is no evidence that they saw active service. The photos which I have seen show unmarked vehicles in what I assume is the standard monochrome medium brown finish. One tank had the outline of a standard MkIV painted on the rear side.

Your best bet might be this web site. It specialises in WW1 armour

Al.... have you tried getting in touch with the Royal Armoured Corps Museum, Bovington Camp, Hampshire?

They are the experts.

Good Luck
