Capt James Edward Tait, V.C., M.C. came from Maxwelltown (now part of Dumfries) and served with the Canadians. He appears on the following (listed on UKNIWM) memorials:

TROQUEER CHURCH AND CONGREGATION WW1 - UKNIWM 44289

MAXWELLTOWN AND TROQUEER - UKNIWM 5862

1. He was missing from Scottish National War Memorial - they have agreed to add him

2. There is an unlisted individual memorial to him in Troqueer Church - UKNIWM will add this

3. There is an unlisted school memorial which includes his name in Lauriknowe Primary School and I will report this to UKNIWM

4. There is an unlisted individual memorial to him in Lauriknowe Primary School and I will report this to UKNIWM

5. There is an unlisted school memorial which includes his name in Dumfries Academy and I will report this to UKNIWM

No trivial memorials either, 3 of the not-listed are substantial bronze plaques.

Anyone beat 5 not-listeds for one individual? (OK, that is one not listed on a memorial and 4 memorials not listed, but they all impact anyone trying to research him)
