Lt T R Bloomfield was credited with one victory. He was flying Camel F6084 of No 151 Sqn when he brought down a Gotha from Bombengeschwader 6 in flames over Montenescourt-Agnaz, West of Arras, at 2300 on 25 September 1918. The crew of the Gotha, all of whom were killed in action, was: Ltn d R Reinhold Lampe (observer); Uffz Karl Rühlicke (pilot); Fw Adolf Mörch (gunner) and Fw August Platte (gunner).

I hope that this is useful.

Alan,

If his RAF officer's service record would be helpful, you can download a copy from the National Archives' Online Service, for a small fee, using the following reference:

Trevor Reid Bloomfield 7 April 1897 AIR 76/43 (www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documentsonline/air76.asp)

He is listed as "Trevor Read Bloomfield" on his Royal Aero Club certificate and several passenger lists, so it is likely the RAF listing is an error. The passenger

lists indicate he was born in New Zealand and traveled to (lived in?) Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada prior to the war. The RAeC certificate may include a

photo--it is on ancestry.com and I cannot access this.

Regards,

Trelawney
