Whiston (Merseyside) Memorial

Recommended Posts

Researching local men & memorials, I came across a couple of pictures of the War Memorial in St Nicholas Churchyard in Whiston, near Liverpool.

The original memorial was designed by Sir Giles Giblert-Scott and was unveiled in 1922. Unfortunately it was struck and destroyed by lightening in 1928. The memorial was replaced by a different design, unveiled in 1932.
