Is this a Mark 5? And can anyone identify it?

Yes it's a Mk IV (female), there are no vents on the side.


Female? I thought they only had machine guns? This looks to have at least a 6pdr. However, I am no expert!

The other clue to gender is the sponsons, which only come half way down the side of the tank. The escape hatches can just be seen under the sponson.

This tank is armed with Lewis guns. They were a step down from the Hotchkiss machine guns. The gunners didn't like the fact that the hot air from the barrel blew back into their faces when mounted in the tank, which is the opposite effect from using the gun in the open.
