cards and letters sent home

Does anyone know any info, links, books etc on the correspondence of soldiers and their families. In particular I am looking for info on the popular silk postcards sent from soldiers based in France.

The cards I cannot help with, but if you want to read letters from your own area you will find that plenty of them were passed on to the local newspapers during 1914 and 1915. Although they mostly tend to get going after the retreat from Mons when the army’s postal service has caught up with itself. They seem to dry up in 1916 which is a shame, but there should be enough in the newspapers down at your local library to keep you busy for quite a while.
