David_Blanchard Posted 1 December , 2003 Share Posted 1 December , 2003 How much can I expect to pay for a decent British First War Bayonet and scabbard?
CROONAERT Posted 1 December , 2003 Share Posted 1 December , 2003 I've seen them for sale from various dealers for anything between £40 and £65. However, I've never paid any more than £18 for any of mine (excluding the hooked quillion variety). Dave.
Geoff Parker Posted 2 December , 2003 Share Posted 2 December , 2003 David In the UK a 1907 bayonet for the SMLE retails for about £35-45. From experience dealers do not pay too much attention to the actual date of manufacture just condition etc. The exception being those with a hooked quillon as dave mentioned or a manufacturer such as Vickers or Enfield.
