wroclaw Posted 29 January , 2007 Share Posted 29 January , 2007 e-mail recieved OK Peter regards Michael Michael, BTW and just in case - Chayat Beach cemetary is not the WW1 cemetary in Yafo st., but a section of the large cemetaries at the southern entrance to Haifa, known today as "Kfar Samir" (includes the Jewish, Catholic and Protestant cemetaries used in the present). michaeldr Posted 30 January , 2007 Share Posted 30 January , 2007 Thanks Gal, Yes, that's the mistake I made on my first visit. It was the gardener at Khayat Beach who told me that I could not miss the War Cemetery in Jaffa Road because of all the palms. Peter and Steve N are looking for WWII chaps, but we'll try to help them anyway . I'm hoping that I can hop off and then back on the train with the one ticket, but in any event I think that it's only one station. I'll probably wait a week or two until the rain eases off and the sun comes out again. Thanks for the thoughtful reminder Michael
